Kristie's Third Quarter Goal.

I have come to realize that I struggle with communication; sharing my heart and true feelings. I absolutely hate conflict and I know that I will do or say 'nothing' in order to avoid conflict and 'keep peace'. I come from a family of "stuffers". We stuff it down deep inside to keep peace.

So my goal for this quarter is to read a book that will help to improve my relational skills. I have picked Pastor Annette's brain about what would be a good book and after doing a little research, I have decided to read the book: The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. Yes, this may be a book more directed towards love and married couples but learning how to improve relational skills in my marriage will also help me to better communicate and build better relationships with those around me and with our youth.

My steps in my goal:

• visit with Pastor Annette about choosing a book (done)
• reading the book
• do a 'book review' or blog about the book to show that I have read it and to share what I have learned
